💥 6 × 2h expert-led creative workshops taking you through the emotions that fuel your blocks, and the ones that power your writing.
Softening Towards Your Creative Blocks: A gentle deep dive into what’s really going on in our minds and bodies when we’re creatively blocked, and how reconnect with the emotions lurking beneath the surface, and stop seeing them as a hindrance.
(Don’t) Look Back in Anger: A look at our relationship with anger, the state of the world and the way it affects us, and how we can use our anger to fuel our writing.
Big, Bad Overwhelm: A look beneath the surface of overwhelm, how we can demystify it, and break it down into emotions and protective mechanisms that we understand.
Forgiveness, Can You Imagine?: a look at our hang-ups around creativity and failure, and how we can give ourselves more grace for not always meeting our impossibly high expectations.
Come On, Let’s Go and Play: an exploration of our relationship with our inner artist(s), how to find joy and flow in our writing practice, and how we can reframe our writing and creativity as sacred.
Daring Greatly: A look at how courage and vulnerability play into our creativity, and how the feelings we often see as in our way, might actually be waiting to be heard, channeled, and expressed through our writing.

This is the right course for you if…
You want to write again, for real… you just can’t seem to do it 😤
You've got half-finished novels, stories or screenplays you can't bear to think about, let alone try to finish.
You used to write loads, but these days you can’t access that state of flow 🥹
You don’t understand how something that came so easy before, when you were a kid or a teenager, or when you were avoiding writing boring essays at university, now feels pretty much impossible?!
You can’t understand why you’re so freaking stuck 🤯
You found some solutions that worked for a bit, but after the initial burst of dopamine, you right fell back into your hold habits. Blocked. Again.
You’re tired of intellectualising your blocks 🧠
You’re spinning yourself in circles. You want to look at the why so you can fix the how, instead of skimming the surface.
You are READY for a change 💥
You are ready to dive in, feel your feelings, reconnect with your inner artist, and become the writer you have been all along.
Now imagine this:
After ten weeks of creative nurturing and connection…
You’ve finally broken through.
You didn’t have a mystical, overnight epiphany with cookie cutter solutions.
Instead, you had a series of small ah-ha moments that have allowed you to understand yourself and your emotions better. Your creative blocks aren’t big, bad, evil monsters, but parts of you that are asking for attention and TLC.
After weeks of rekindling your relationship with your creative intuition, you now know that the magic voice and creativity you were looking for, has been inside of you all along. All you have to do is show up as you are.
And yes, you’re writing again. But most importantly, you remember now that the joy of writing is the whole point. Writing is for you. It’s a part of you.
And now, you know how to support yourself no matter what life throws at your creativity in the future.
Why I created this course 💁🏻♀️
My name is Laurie and I am a narrative coach for neurodivergent creatives and storytellers, and a writer.
This course is the culmination of fifteen years of experience as a TV story producer, my work as a creative coach, my journey as a writer, the years I’ve spent hosting events and workshops that foster community and vulnerability, as well as my own experience with neurodivergence, creativity, big feelings, and healing.
This course is what I really needed when I was blocked creatively, and I spent years beating myself up for not writing. It's the ten weeks that could have saved me years.
It turns out, I didn’t have productivity or motivation problem. I needed to work through a bunch of feelings that were holding me back from creating. And I needed a structure that used writing to help me reconnect with my voice, and write my way out of my blocks.
So now I want to help other people work through their own writers’ blocks. 💜
What’s the vibe? 👀
Come As You Are
Pyjamas, bed hair, low spoons, overexcited - this is an invitation to come to this programme, and the sessions, as you are. Take however you are doing and feeling with you into the discussions, the creative exercises, and the body doubling sessions.
You Belong Here
This is a queer-friendly, neurodivergent-friendly course. You don’t need to identify as either to join the course, but please know this is an unapologetically inclusive course where we’ll be cultivating radical acceptance.
⭐️ What previous attendees have said about the course ⭐️
“I'd tried to get through my creative blocks on my own and was struggling. I wasn't really looking for help with this but when I saw you were running this course it felt like something that could help, in mysterious ways! I wasn't sure how much linking my creativity with emotions would help but I got a sense of it in your free taster sessions which were really effective and helped me make the decision to sign up.
By the end of the course I felt gentler with myself and my creativity, and less intimidated by any challenges that would come up. I had a greater acceptance that by doing this course, I wasn't eliminating challenges from the creative process, but bolstering my ability to see them for what they are and face them with compassion and sardonic whimsy.
The course showed me how much my creativity is wrapped up in who I am - so much so that I might share something that feels average but it sizzles for someone else. I felt like I needed to work hard or try hard to produce something worthwhile but learned that striving isn't really required because there are so many channels through which creativity flows, especially when our emotions are activated and not suppressed. There's still so much more to discover so I'm glad to have my notes from the course and the resources to look at.” - Heenu
“I wanted to understand my own creativity better and to have a closer, clearer relationship with it, as I had suddenly got into poetry and performance and had not had the chance to reflect. I wanted to appreciate it regardless of other people’s response or whether or not my writing was public. I also wanted to be prepared for experiencing creative blocks in the future as I knew that this might be ‘fresh meat’ for the part of me that tends to be hard on myself.
By the end of the course I had gained a much deeper understanding of my own creativity and created more space within myself for my own creativity, which I hadn’t previously had because everything I had created had soon had an audience. I had also realised several things about myself, e.g. that I was imagining someone external who was judging everything I was doing and thinking it was ‘wrong’. I had also learnt some new concepts and tips for how to deal with blocks or challenges along the way, e.g. doing something creative that gives me energy rather than something that feels draining, and giving myself permission to do whatever works with my neurodiversity.” - H

I live much of my life outside the margins of normativity (hello, neurodivergence, non-monogamy, relationship anarchy, and s-x positivity), and I feel incredibly strongly about making space for the authenticity of people's lived experiences and emotions.
I always bring warmth, care, curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm. Helping others find their way is what brings me joy.
